Good videos, but I doubt it will "spawn" many ideas, unless Dyson intends on doing some scripting :D. Also, the game can't mick real life, it gets close but somethings are left out.

Example: Rescue 1 has more equipment besides airbags, jaws of life, medical bags, fire extinguisher, and fire hoses. However, due to the games capabilities those are about the only task we can do in the game. Things such as thermal, pikes, venting fans, etc are left out.

I came across these videos on FDNY on youtube. It appears they are made by FDNY. The short series are called FDNY Close Up and they are a four part series on Engines, Ladders, Rescues and EMS. They go into specifics on what each member of the division does as well as what equipment is used and carried on the trucks. This might spawn some ideas for this mod. If not at the very least I think most will find it informative and interesting.

Oh also, anyone got any experience with map making/editing, I'm looking for someone to help in that department :)

No they are for NY submod v1.0 and 1.1

That may have something to do with it being an LA MOD submod.

as you probaly know i havent got any experience with mapping :wall: sorry :s


Haha no worries, a few people had mentioned they fancied it in earlier posts so I was sota hoping they'd pipe up :)

I know I really wanna release, but i really wanna add these new models, I'm going to say, if I haven't finished the updates to the FDNY before 2 weeks today you can expect a release :)

Can't wait...I'm ready to play it. Did you upgrade the model of the nypd caprice in version 2? It looked like the back fenders were missing or something but I could be wrong.

do you have any idea how to even open a map for a mod cause i dont and i knew i think i might be able to do something cool out cause i made my own stations for my mod
