2. Nope, no light updates. If you want new lights wait for griffys pack, or if you want you can make PRL/LEDs compatible. You just have to write down the list of commands for each unit and add them to the units from PRL/LEDs. Its not hard to do by any means, just tedious and time consuming.

Thanks.
Just played with the recent patch btw and a few things. I know YSB says he hasnt tested it to see if its stable but just people know, it causes the game to crash and freezes it.
I know its easy to do but just letting people know that the LRA only has 2 paramedics so when they have to get the stretcher it means they can only take one victim when its supposed to take 2 hint the reason LARGE rescue ambulance lol.
Im tempted to just re-install the submod again and download everything apart from patch 9.

go to 911 fr editor than choose LA 4X4 Mod than scene than choose vehicle you have trouble with and than edit and than command and add the Follow and then save for the vehicles that don't chase.

1. When? Can you hit CTRL+ALT+delete(If on Vista/Win7 hit start task manager) then you will see a box about an error. Can you write down what it says, the hit retry. Then it hsould mention a script and a line num,ber. Post that as well.1.it causes the game to crash and freezes it.

2.This was intended as a patch fix only, not to change/add features as thats what the YSB project is for. Perhaps I will work on sorting out patch 9 when I have more time.
3.You will need to download the 2.0.8 file again. Even if I posted Patches 1-8, it wouldnt fix anything most likley as I assume the YSV patch contains changes to other scripts and such.

I am more then happy to answer questions and provide help in this thread ONLY.
Sorry for the huge writing and such but some people just can not read, and then wonder why I get an attitude when they PM me. Also if you have a problem, the best way to get support is posting in THIS THREAD. DO NOT start another thread. Stan has specially said in the past, if you have a problem with a submod, ask for help in that submods thread.

Post them HERE. The 4x4 Submod is no longer taking suggestions! However the 4x4 w00ds Map v1 project is still a WIP and will accept suggestions.
Version Numbering Information:
For Example 2.0.7
2 is the LA Mod Version it is based on. LA Mod 2.0 in this case.
0 is the series number. When I have some new features to add or make major changes not related to bugs, this number goes up.
7 is the patch number. This means patch 7 has been applied.
Download Mod:
Los Angeles Mod v2.0.8 4x4.e4mod - 218MB - This link is hosted on a dedicated server. This means no wait time and fast download times. It is 218 MB in size but contains an installer/e4mod file which contains each and every file. This method does not require any patching, or copy and pasting. It has patches 1-8 applied already.
Patch 9 - This is Patch 9 which was made completely by YSB. I have not tested it for stability!
Fixed the Rapid Deployment command for the Water Tender.
Fixed spawn times to prevent pile ups.
Fixed Engine 17(Red USFS Truck) not being named properly.
Fixed display name for SWAT Bomb Squad Truck.
Fixed the issue with leaking hydrant by police station and the dead birds by FS2.
Updated to Police Station Scripts to Hoppahs newer scripts for optimization.
Added Call Tower Light Force Command to Battalion Chief and EMS Supervisor. This will call E17/Tower Ladder from FS2.
Renamed Large Rescue ambulance to Rescue 7.
Re-added ability to leave personnel in there vehicle when returning to the fire station.
Updated Unit.XML for Large Rescue Ambulance/Rescue 7 to hold a total of 5 Medics.
Updated Unit.XML for Large Rescue Ambulance/Rescue 7 to remove load space, so it does not appears as if there is room for patients.
Added ability to call units from LAPP and LASD Stations.
Fixed SWAT Units Not Responding to Station.
Updated XML files to change a few unit names, Engine 1 and Engine 2(non LED) were renamed Engine 7 and Engine 288 respectively.
Updated XML to fix missing unit names on icons.
Updated XML for main menu as there was a small error.
Edited LAPtrol.script and move.script to re-enable a vehicles headlights after they were turned off on returning to the fire station or police stations.
Add command to EMS Supervisor and BC to call Rescue 7.
YSB Patch 9 Fixes:
Fixed parking issue with Rescue 7 and the Swift Water Rescue truck.
Fixed some issues with some vehicles not having the right number of seats.
Fixed some vehicles having the wrong staffing when the alarm is pulled. (Note: The incorrect staffing was definitely not what you wanted so this is a fix, not a change.)
Restored ability to call a fire engine from standby. (Does not work with Engine 17 at the moment. Enigine 17 is also not responding to calls for an Engine 1. If it was supposed to then I'm not sure why it isn't doing that now. If that's something you want let me know and I'll work on it.)
Fixed issue with front garage doors not opening when calling a tower light force (if you closed the doors at FS2).
Fixed issue with front garage doors not opening the first time you call an ALS ambulance or a USAR truck (if you closed the doors at FS1).
Fixed issue with not all units leaving an engine when it returns to the station if there are more than 4 units inside.
Fixed error that sometimes came up if you call a tower light force and there is no engine in FS2.
Fixed the name tags for the Bomb Squad Truck and Engine 17.
Fixed problem where a firefighter sometimes doesn't connect to the engine when using rapid deploy.
Changed the tool-tip names of the LED engines to say LED so you can tell which is which.
Fixed several vehicles that were incorrectly set to stand-by mode when dispatched from HQ.
The pathing around FS1 was edited to avoid some vehicles taking an unnecessary detour when pulling in or out.
Edited the pathing at the intersection near the hotel to (hopefully) avoid the issue of some emergency vehicles having trouble going through the intersection and instead going back and forth. So far in testing it seems to be OK now. If you still have the problem let me know.
I may have done a few other small fixes and changes that I don't remember.

Alternate Scripts:
Ambulance Fix - MAY NOT BE COMPATIBLE WITH PATCH 9(for now).
Spawn 1 Paramedic and 1 Stretcher Crew for ALS Ambulances.
Spawn 1 EMT and 1 Stretcher Crew for the BLS Ambulances.
These 3 scripts need to be placed in the scripts folder(scripts->game->commands) overwriting the two that are in there. Do this after installing patch 7.

Changes:
What have I changed in my version that differs from the stock LA Mod? You can see screen shots that document the changes to some extent. Check the second post of this thread. For a full list of changes you will need to download the zip file(its only 7MB or so) and read the Read Me text file that is included.
Compatibility with other Submods:
Xplorer4x4 mod with YSB changes (Available) - This submod was specifically designed to expand on this submod.
PRL - I would guess 80% or more of the lighting comes from various versions of PRL. If you insist in installing PRL Submod you will loose certain functions and I will not explain how to fix this.
LED Submod - Well the LED Brush Truck is included. The EMS Charger is as well. So are the ALS and BLS Fire Engines. Units not listed here from the LED submod are not compatible.
Occram's Lighting Mod - Again units will loose some functions. I have included some of his work. Sadly he hasnt released that many prototypes yet, but I love his style when it comes to rotators so I hope to include more of his work as he releases it.
Additional Units Submod - All the units are included, but some have been disabled at my preference. To enable them again simply open freeplaybase.xml or freeplaybase_d.xml in a program like notepad. Look for lines that contain <!-- and --> remove those markings. For example:

Los Angeles Mod v1.9.3 SG - NO. Plain and simple, but Shane's work was awesome, and the driving inspiration behind my work so dont be surprised to see some similarities.
90's Submod - Again units will be lacking commands, but it will technically work, however you would have to edit the XML files and some scripts(like LASiren) to be compatible.
w00ds Map 1 and 2 - They are not compatible with this submod, however work is in progress to update these maps with the same functions, and new functions as well.
Soulbodys Army Medic/General - You would have to do some file edits, but otherwise, yes.
Unmarked Units Submod - The unmarked Charger is included. Otherwise I have not included any of there units, but if you want to do the file edits, yes.
LEV - The model is already there, you just need to enable it by following the directions mentioned in regards to AUS.

Unless there is a quick edit and a quick fix for this. just stick with your submod at YSBs version. Patch 9 has problems and brings nothing new to the game.

i was playin 4x4 yesterday and responded the bls and ems car from fs2 on a medical. when they arrived in scene and stopped ,oving the sirens didnt shut off like they do i=on all the other trucks. any ideas on how to fix this?
and when i start the game wht is up with the fireworks going off above fs1?

Why not just play 'freeplay'? I've never been adventurous enough to try challenge, but I assume it's the same thing isn't it?Is it possible to disable challenge mode failing when it determines you've lost control of the city? I just got a huge fire call that was going to be amazing to battle and it pops up and tells me I lost control and that the game is over
