Psst. I don't like reading anyway, so it isnt "tattling to report people, we go through and we actually clear them, I won't waste the time reading your topic just to see if maybe just maybe someone was a bad lil boy or girl, I should not have to waste the time doing so, nor should the rest of our staff, the only time we follow topics is if we've had to because they are prone to problems. otherwise we do NOT read every little thing, it'd be totally impractical to believe we would WANT to, let alone would, so enjoy your 16 Hour arguement, it's not the fact that you try to guide members along, it's the manner in which you do it comes off as an ORDER more than a friendly reminder... Learn to talk to people properly=)

hello all
Im new to this game and have downloaded the LA mod and noticed that i dont have all the missions that is states i should have. I have the orginal map from the game but have the LA trucks and police cars. How do i get the other freeplay maps or the other missions. what mod should i download after the orginal LA MOD?
PLEASE HELP

PLEASE HELP

You downloaded the LA Mod or this submod? This is asubmod for the LA Mod, not a mod itself, so unless the problem is installing this submod your in the wrong place. For the other LA Map read the installer step by step and will prompt you for new maps. At that time you have to check mark the boxes, and then proceed.

With this usbmod, download the link under 2.0.8 and unzip the zup file. Then double click the e4mod file and your done.

Hi,

I am having some problems with the 4x4 submod. I have downloaded it and installed it exactly as the read me said. When I start the came it says LA mod with 4x4 submod, all of the units seem to be there. But the map I'm playing in and the map in the top corner are different.

I'm trying to play the basic freeplay, not the deluxe free play map. The map I'm playing in seems to LA, it has a train yard and a culvert with graffiti. The smaller map in the to corner has sea and looks like the original free play map. The various stations are all in different places.

Is it something I have done wrong?

Try installing it into a different folder and recopying the contents of 'Maps' over it. I think the mini-map is the .dds file ( I might be wrong ) and it may have not installed over properly.

hey Xplorer...love the submod! The extra parking was much needed in my gameplay. oh gosh, there are so many good things i could say about it. There's a few things i would like to see different. That's no matter because that is just my personnal preference that applies to my own style of play. But again i absolutely love what you've done.

Okay i have a question. But before i ask, i will say that i have sat here and read all 28 pages of this thread. With that in mind i don't recall anything regarding the medium rescue truck (the non-transport) in the buy menu. I have opened the .xml file and it is unlocked and the file folder is in the prototypes. So i don't know if i can change anything to be able to get the truck out of the buy menu. It had been destroyed in a massive fire, but i cannot figure out how to get another back to the station without starting another freeplay game. As i play saved games and this is one of them.

Another one of my issues is, and it's not of your mod for say. It started before i downloaded your submod. i just figured i'd post it here while i was on here. The problem is when a call is dispatched by the video dude there is no audible tone and you cannot hear him telling you what type of call it is. i have to read the call for myself at the top of the screen. And you cannot hear the people talking when given commands. The only audible sounds in my game are the map sounds (cars, and other city noises), apparatus sirens, and the inservice code when you send a unit back to the station. It's not really a problem, but it's annoying when i'm playin' the game and watchin' football in the man cave...haha! And a call comes out and i don't hear an audible tone-out for a call. But some help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: There a few other trucks that are not in the buy menu that I like better...ie the rollback instead of the tow truck. Is there a way I can get these along with Rescue 7?

Never had this happen with the EMS heli. Can you try to see if you can get it to happen again? Or was it just a one time glitch?

Um... They're police cars... They all have lights.


There are a few unmarked police cars in that list.

I'll post again if it happens again.

good lookin' out...i tried the origional game and the only sound i have is sirens and city sounds

LA 1.7 is the same...except when i'm in a quiet part of town and a call goes out and the dispatch dude pops up...i can faintly hear him...so this tells me the volume to him is down. and i still can't hear an audible tone when the call is initiated. no clue how to fix this so i'll probably just do a reinstall, then spend another year pasting my skins. thanks for the help though

I havent modified anything to do with the choppers so give me some more info, where you trying to land it on the ground, land it on a helipad, did you assign the to police station command to the tech chopper?

When you first load the game, at the top, right hand side there should be a button called "Options" or "Controls" ( can't remember which ), click that then click the Sounds tab. Make sure your 'video' volume is up.

There are a few unmarked police cars in that list.

I'll post again if it happens again.

Ah, you're meaning with lights on the top. :/ I was going to say... it would be not be a very effective police car if it did not have lights somewhere on the thing...

It accidentally happened again, game didn't crash though. It was probably a bad timing, cause my game crashes on other random moments too, I have no idea why though :/

The helo issue is an existing glitch in the game, it has to do with collision related problems with the helos vs objects that it can't detect... Under normal circumstances it checks the area you've asked it to park and verifies that it can A. Indeed do so, and B. that it is clear, then it proceeds to set down, during the time in which it is airborne the helicopter has no physics assigned (hence it's ability to cruise through buildings or anything else it might hit). However, once she goes to land she is assigned physics again and in your case, the car is getting stuck where the helo's physics would be placed... Same type of crash can result online from time to time if you get latency a person or a vehicle can get stuck in a building and sometimes crash the game, however generally they just get tangled together and neither vehicle is usable for the duration of the mission, both must be destroyed. The act of blowing them up can result in a crash though... It's just one of EM4's many quirks, nothing related to any changes done.

Same here. Since he released it's all I've played, with the exception of an occasional game of the NY Submod. I'm really looking forward to the w00ds v1 xplorer submod.
