Just decoration to help it stand out as a police station. Its not hard to make it usable but I find the helicopters pointless in the mod, well correction in freeplay.

At the port police station I like to land the tec hilicopter, it works well when the person is drowning it saves alot! of time.

Only thing I noticed which will kinda be fixed with patch 5, is that when they empty vehicles upon returning there is no way to respawn another battalion chief or ems captain. I mean if people set it to not exit the vehicle upon returning its not a problem but if they enjoy loading all the people in the trucks then it could be. Also i noticed the gated wye is no longer available on the engines. Is it possible to get that back because it sucks having to go find another hydrant when responding to anything with engine 17. Otherwise the new submod is sick

Yep, I pretty much agree. Just wasn't sure if I was missing something.

The BC and EMS Caption should respawn when you sound the alarm but with them being trapped in the building for some people, i assume that might cause the problem you described.
The command to keep people from exiting there cars, not sure if this will apply to the BC and the units behind the FS. Never used the command so I really cant say.
The gated wye is not on ANY engine or just E17 and the LED Fire Trucks? I am going to assume E17, and the LED Engines. I can fix that with patch 5. I didnt even think about that because I only use it on the brush truck, and even then rarley. All engines have a 4 man crew with 4 hose connectors, so I dont ever use it. Even though I almost always send a light force for structure fires, the engine suplies water for all 4 guys in the Engine, plus one FF from the ladder can staff it, and the other, if needed can find a hydrant. But I will fix it none the less. Thanks for pointing it out as I didnt even think about it at all lol.

Ok I didn't even think to check the brush patrol or anything. Just know I sent only e17 to a small tree fire and when i got out had to go hydrant hunting because it wouldn't let me hook up to e17 then i could only find 1 close hydrant so that limited me to 1 person


UPDATE
So i just checked and none of the firefigthers have the command available to deploy gated wye. So the vehicles may or may not be equipped with them its just no one can use them

The rapid deployment didnt work on E17?

I havent altered that command :s I will look in to it for patch 5.

Small note, need to update the Ambulance Fix again. I didnt take in to consideration the changes for patch 5(like Call Tower Light Force and offset spawn times) when i upped it(smacks self in forehead lol), so check for Ambulance Fix 3 in about 5-10 minuets.

Patch 5 released! Patch 5 contains several updates as well as all the previous patches to make sure everything is up to date.

To install browse to the folder containing LA Mod 2.0 4x4.
Extract the zip(you should be able to right click and choose extract here). Now open the folder so it looks like this:

Now hit CTRL+A(at the same time)
Now hit CTRL+X(at the same time)
Now assuming your in the folder containing LA Mod 4x4 2.0 it will look something like this:

Right click somewhere inside this window.
You will see a menu pop up. Now left click on PASTE.
Windows should ask you if you want to overwrite.
Say yes to all/replace all/overwrite all, something along those lines.

To make sure the patch is applied you can drag and drop the e4mod.info files in to notepad. It should say mod name="Los Angeles Mod v2.0.5 4x4"

Actually the files needed for all AUS Units are included, just check the first post as I updated it slightly in regards to AUS.

Many LED Units are already included.

Just downloaded patch 5 - I'm very excited to play. However, I notice a problem right off the bat:

I started with a clean install of the latest version of the LA Mod (2.0.2?)and followed your instructions to a tee.

When I start up the mod, I am missing several units:

FS1: Large ambulance, 1x ALS Engine, 1x BLS Engine

FS2: Engine 17, Battalion, EMS Chief, and the brush truck

The large ambulance and Charger EMS Chief are unavailable for purchase, as is the ATF NRU.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and I am getting consistent results.

Theres a difference between patch 5, and LA Mod 2.0.5. Patch 5 alone does not include everything. Make sure you download LA Mod 2.0.5 if you have never installed this submod. Patch 5 is only for those who have installed the submod before, where as 2.0.5 has patches 1-5, and every file needed to install this.Patch 5 alone does not have all the files, only files that needed to be fixed.


For those of you applying patch 5, please keep me posted in regard to the spawn issues most importantly, but also anything that seems I forgot to include. Also note the Call Tower Light Force uses the same icon as the regular Call LF command so you need to hover to see the difference. I was trying to think of a way to differentiate the two and didnt have a solution at that time. Now I do so I will see if I cant update that particular item and release it separately.
EDIT: First post contains alternate script for changing call light force images. Will update patch 5 to include this tomorrow. Going to try to sleep through World War 3 outside(AKA Fireworks).

yeah... a little slow some days. Alright, here's the next issue: the "disable vehicle emptying" does not function.

After another clean (and complete) install, the vehicles still empty when returning to the firestation, regardless of which button is clicked on the control panel.

I am getting the same problem with the vehicle still emptying, and the spawn time is still not working. they stay inside the doorway. I do like that engine 17 now has hose connections available though.Oh and Rescue 7 still shows 2 patient spots when you click on it

Stupid me looks like i put the wrong LaFirestaion.script in there. Try this one instead and see if it works for keeping personnel in there vehicles.

This was a bad idea with these ones. it messed up alot. FS2 the EMS car has no one get inside, the brush truck got one eventually but took forever. the ambulances went back to no stretchers, the vehicles at both stations still empty upon returning, it spawns an extra ff/pm at station 1 instead of the ems supervisor, and the spawning thing did slow down the rate but the damn battalion commander wants to stay inside the building still just with the ff/pm now. Thats all i noticed. hopefully i didn't just cause you a bunch more work. I also installed the ambulance scripts for the stretchers back when you put them up. I had the 3rd ambulance patch

Define "these ones." Are we talking patch 5 or the 2 scripts I put in the last post? The two in my last post are expiramental in regards to spawn time, and keeping personell in there trucks. I don't want to release the scripts as offical patches untill I know I have the spawn times worked out. Then I can update the ambulance scripts so spawn times are correct

Patch 5 uses the same spawn times as ambulance fix.

ahhh gotcha the last 2 experimental ones. The spawn time is delayed but they still wont come out. the last 2 scripts changed a bunch of stuff though. the whole list i gave you
