So would rope bags or stabilizing bars n' straps be possible? :o and can't wait to see what's going to be possible, especially with the medical equipment. are you going to allow players to be a part of the treatment of victims, or will it be automated i.e L.A mod paramedics restoring someone's red bar in a short period of time once treatment starts.

They said it would be automatic because I guess with RTS(if thats your basis of thinking) your just responding to medical calls for things like heart attack and such, but not MVAs or things like that. So in RTS where you have say one patient to focus on, sure you can take the time to do compressions and breaths, not to mention use a defib. Here though you could respond to an MVA with say 8 people. If you have an MVA with 8 people and your focused on doing CPR to one, some of those other 8 could die.

Speaking of the medical treatment, heres a suggestion. I plan to TRY to attempt this myself for the LA Mod but havent had time to try it. More or less I plan to attempt to expand the coroners department to include an actual medical investigator. The investigator comes to the scene has to check the DB before the coroners with a stretcher can pick up the DB.

Please DO NOT PM ME for help. Ask your questions on the forum to help others with the same issue.

Once the inspector checks the body, assign a "dummy" command to it, aka an hidden flag. Now when the coroners with the stretcher wants to take them, verify if the body has the dummy, if so, then take the guy, if not, then say using a Mission::PlayHint that they must first have him inspected.

Easy.

are NYC FFs gonna have the emt or paramedic option, because in reality I think most are CFRs and not trained as highly as some may think?

all FF's who graduate from the academy must be at least CFR's, its the basic training... and yea, FFs in the mod are able to stabilize persons (possibility of successful stabilisation varies to the level of injury)... they cant heal or transport them, thats the PM's part

Thats no problem, we have to think about including this

That is a good idea. It makes it more realistic. Plus, the EMT/PM idea is cool. :12:

Question, since I have seen in other mods the ability to leave doors open, have/will you script in so that when the trucks are at the station the doors on the trucks stay open till the crew enters the truck?

Well, Xploror has it in his submod, but I wouldn't see why it won't be in this mod. :nixweiss:

Xplorer, but Jedis got a great point. Atm, I only have it set for special doors like the rear doors of the ambulance, but I had planned to explore other options.

(Sorry I got your name wrong!)

Yeah, it shouldn't be hard for the NY mod team to put something like this in the mod. Maybe when people get out of the cars, all the doors will open instead of just the right one.

Sorry if this has been discussed already but I didn't find it when I looked back...
Will people be able to die instantly, instead of being injured? (Idk it might not even be possible) For example an MVA and you arrive on the scene to find like on person dead and others injured as they normally would be. Don't know if anyone understands what I mean but I think it would be a much needed addition to realism.

Not exactly relevant to the mod, but does the FDNY ever give or receive mutual aid?
