Answered previously. Yes, preconnects will be used.

I didn't know that. Anyway, Thanks!

I'm still curious if fire fighters will be able to hook up thier hoses to the front of some engines :nixweiss: :gruebel:

Oh, re-looking at it, idk about the front, because back on the old ny topic before the server updates, it was said that the preconnects would be usable, but the engine would become static. Not sure if it's changed, but there was quite a bit of stuff answered before this got updated.
(In terms of questions, but it was answered mostly in general, nothing specific on certain functions or uses)

EDIT: Look on the 10 Codes video (producer's note #3) and the "fire of a caravan at a parking lot" screenshot. It's not to the front though. Idk about FDNY, but isn't that just a trash line on the front?
RE-EDIT: If that's a trash line, then there's nothing to hook into anyways.
I thought you were just seeing if it would be from a hydrant to the front or something. lol. that's still a secret though :P but i'm gonna say no, chances are it's not going to happen.

Those aren't preconnects in those pictures. A preconnect is an attck line that stays connected to the engine and can then just be pulled off the truck and used without having to worry about attaching it. Preconnects have nothing to do with attaching an engine to a hydrant.

That isn't a trash line, They mostly use it to hook up fire hydrants to the trucks.

Would be cool if you could hook the hoses to the front, but I don't think it'll happen. :nixweiss:

I wish this thread could be locked. And the only people allowed to post are the NY mod team and those posts consist of updates.

I totally agree for this forum to be locked for the mod makers only to give updates and info. It is hard to keep up with their updates if yu have to look through 90 pages to find it!

Niether is that comment, and neither is mine now.

Why is everyone crying "omg off-topic, get back to topic" when they don't contain anything good themselves? The only real off topic is those guys playing moderators. And why do you cry "lock the topic", when some people actually likes to ask questions and follow some discussions? The only thing making it off topic is yourself, because going off topic means you replies to something not related to the topic. if you can stop doing that, you wont need to cry "btt!!" to get your post count up.

My 5 cents.
Now will I go back to topic and not be two-faced:

Is the black Chevy in the Street Scenario an unmarked cruiser? :P

Question. Do you have to decide what unit to bring to an emergency or will the game tell you?

hopefully not! That'd be fun to make your own decisions that could be successful or unsuccessful. Bringing a whole different way to play the game!
