hey only got game 2 day, played a lil then thought id try the LA mod, but it wont start, goes black an crashes. is there a work around? (im using vista 64)

I had this problem,
Way to fix it:
Go to:
Start > type "Device" and you should see somthing called "Device Manager"
Go to the "Display Adapters" tab, and it should come up with your display adapter
Then go to "Driver" and then click "Update Driver"
*THIS WILL MEAN YOU HAVE TO RESTART YOUR PC"
Restart, run 911 First Responders and it should work!

Try updating your video card drivers. You can download a newer driver from the Nvidia website.
Or you can follow the instructions that ModMaker2009 posted above.

ok will try now, have the latest on my desktop but didnt wanna try as i get issues with another game using the 8GB of ram

Look at the windows vista section of the EM4 game FAQ to make sure your settings are correct.
If they are, try redownloading the mod and reinstalling it, there are a lot of errors showing some parts of the models and the freeplay map are missing in your version.
If that still doesn't work try downgrading to video drivers from 2008.

If you started it from the LA mod icon on your desktop then said that it wouldnt work on Vista 64.
